Rugs

Cleaning and restoring your Rugs every couple of years can improve its vitality, and appearance as well as giving your Rug a longer life-span.

The 7 Steps we use in restoring and cleaning your Rugs:

Rug identification is an important step to identify the fibres, and the differences between Hand-Knotted and Machine Made Oriental Design Rugs. This is very important, as then we will be able to outline the correct process in cleaning your rug so that no damage will occur, due to the fact that certain types of fibres act differently to certain solutions i.e. silk carpets.

Vacuum The Rug is pre-vacuumed for soil, dirt, dust, hair, food crumbs etc. with the 18inch Windsor professional vacuum cleaner.

Pre-spray An appropriate cleaning agent / solution is applied to the Rug to remove any further residue as mentioned above.

    Steam-cleaning / Hot-water Extraction method used.

Spot Treatment Spot Treatment is applied, with the appropriate solution where spots are visible.

Stain Removal Stain Removal is applied, with the appropriate stain solution where necessary.

Drying The Rug is then dried with the Sahara Pro TurboDryer to accelerate the drying process.

    Optional Services:

Deodorisation: A deodorizer can also be applied to neutralize odours and give the Rug a fresh fragrance.

Protection: We can extend our service by protecting your Rug, which involves spraying your Rug with a non-toxic water based fluorochemical protector i.e. 3M Scotchgard or DuPont from Teflon.
